On Sunday Morning I Received a Call from a DEAR Friend Who's more like a Sister to me from back home in Tulsa. Her and her husband are faithful Christians, Spirit-Filled, Workers in the Church and FULL of LOVE. As we talked she finally shared that her husband, Reggie, was diagnosed with cancer in the mouth last September. Their standing on Faith for his total Restoration. He's in the hospital now and will be coming home where she will take off here job to be his caregiver. This is a young family with a twenty something son. The are in their 50's. They have been Christians for over 20 years or more. They have bought my children school clothes at times when I was short. We as I said were more like sisters when I lived in Tulsa. It really hurt my heart to hear about Mr. Reggie(I called him that as respect since he's a Deacon as well). And I heard the hurt but not fear in her voice. I prayed as I spoke to her and let The Holy Spirit lead me in what to say. Too many Christians have already spoken the WRONG words. So I prayed most of the day in between my Sparking for Mother's Day. As you may have noticed I posted more than usual. But giving joy brought JOY!
Some of the Scriptures I used:
(You can Pray the Scriptures with His name Reggie in them or however The Lord Lead. I Prayed in my Prayer Language the most and I used the Scriptures as well.)
Isaiah 54:17 KJV
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Isaiah 53:5 Amplified
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord
ref James 5:16
Pray one for another that you may be healed.
Psalms 103:3-5 Amplified
Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
5 Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!
1 John 5:14-15 NIV
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Pray in Faith Believing in Agreement. There's Power in Prayer of Agreement.
Thank you and also pray for Rita his wife and Reggie Jr. Mr. Reggie's son. They are truly a Blessing to me and I love them dearly.
Love & Blessings!
