BLC 22.. is coming soon for those of you who were not in round 21 but would love to be in round 22. This is a competitive yet supportive team that breaks us into sub-teams who compete against each other within the main team.

That being said, it is one of the biggest reasons I have NOT given up and keeps me committed to living healthy and making strides towards being the healthy Cyndi that I’m striving for. Do you think it’s not for you? You may be surprised. While yes, it is a competition and those who lose the most are celebrated, there is something there for everyone who is seriously committed to living a healthier lifestyle.

Most of you out there know my situation and know how hard it can be to live healthy and exercise while living with chronic pain. Many of you may think like I used to that a competitive team would not be for you. I took a chance on it when a friend posted that she was joining again (in a post similar to this one). I have gone from being able to exercise/walk/bop on a ball (yes I was involved in this team before and during my ankle surgery) for up to 30 minutes at a time to exercising most days of the week for an hour (or more).

What you need to be involved?
1. A willingness to commit for a full 12 weeks. Yes, that is 3 months. But this is a challenge and as such should make us stretch.

2. A willingness to do your best with each of the challenges within your team or the overall BLC team as a whole. They/we do not expect perfection, but that you put forward your best effort wherever that is right now.

3. A willingness to be social. When you sign up you commit to posting to your team and interacting with your teammates 3 times a week. A MINIMUM of 3 posts. However, you get out what you put in and the more you chat with your team the better the round goes. At least, that is how it works for me.

That’s it. That’s all you need.

    Girl, you could put your camo pants on and beat the tar off of me and I would still NOT be able to keep up with everything you have to do on the BLC challenges!

But more power to you for kicking it into high gear... AGAIN! How many have you done now? You have got to be in the leaderboard section! LOL

Good to stop by and see what's going on with you. I have missed being an active member, but with life comes contrast... and CRUD sometimes too!

    Great post! I can vouch for the friendships a person can make during the challenge. I love that I have gotten to know so many wonderful people, such as you, as a result of the BLC. It really can work wonders for people.

    Thanks for posting this, Cyndi. I was one of those who was afraid to join BLC but I did for BLC20 and for the first time in a long time (a decade or more), I lost 8 pounds in 3 months! I re-joined for BLC21 and lost 3 more pounds. I never thought I could lose weight with RAD but I did and I have and it's all due to BLC.

I'm with you on this one. It's a great motivator and our team motto is Participation not Perfection.

    Sign ups start the 15th... Not quite yet but soon! Close to 400 returning so just around 200 openings.

    Thanks for letting me know that the signups are now open (I hadn't heard yet). This team has been a lifesaver--or at least a health saver--for me, and I never would have joined in the first place if you hadn't talked me into it all those rounds ago. I am not in it for the competition--I lose weight so slowly that I worry sometimes about dragging my team down! But I have a ton on my plate right now and without the challenge to help me stay focused, I know that I wouldn't be where I am right now.
