Day 43 - I cannot tell you...

Monday, May 13, 2013

...how much I am losing each week. emoticon I do not have a set day to weigh myself. I think that if I do that, then I will set myself up for disappointment and even failure. emoticon

If, for example, I chose Sundays to weigh myself, then I screw myself out of a pleasant Saturday evening meal with the family if we chose to cook out or go to a restaurant. emoticon Maybe I made the right choices and later discovered that it was high in salt, thus creating a water gain. emoticon

So, I prefer to weigh myself whenever I wake up feeling "skinny". emoticon Usually, I am correct that I lost weight regardless if it is .2 lbs...I still lost weight. emoticon

I can tell you from another app I use is that on average, I am losing 1.5 lbs per week. emoticon (The app is called Target Weight by tactio) I just don't know what I lost each week...it could be a half pound one week and 2 pounds the next...

I walked 3 miles today with my iPod that I took out of retirement. Love listening to the old songs that I put on there several years ago! emoticon

I filled out my licensure application and discovered that my school needs to fill out their section on my application...so I will be heading back to my school today emoticon . I also need to get gas and deposit $$$ into the bank. I also applied for another job this morning!

Oh how I love no more papers to write and textbooks to read and exams to study for! I feel like I am on a nice vacation at my house! LOL emoticon

Hope everyone survived Mother's Day! emoticon

So agree with you! Glad we don't have a," National Mandatory Weigh In",my stomach would be in giant knots! emoticon I started developing at nine years of age, but all my friends were still "little" girls, we would have to go to the nurses office and be weighed and checked for scoliosis,it was modifying for me to have to strip down ,I felt like such a giant!Glad those days are over.
Keep enjoying your vacation, and good luck on the job hunt!

I weigh on Monday mornings after I first get up. That starts my week off right. I am grateful for even a 0.2lb loss during the week...at least the scale isn't going in the wrong direction!!! Congrats on filing out your application and getting in a nice walk today!

I'm losing about the same amount of weight as you per week. It was 2.5 for the first week and 1.5 each week after that so far. I can't get by without weighing myself each week though, I weigh-in every Wednesday morning. I used to weigh-in on the weekends, but that ended being a horrible idea, because the weekends are when I'm most likely to eat a heavy or unhealthy meal.

Glad you enjoyed your walk. Makes me want to break out my old iPod. My parents gave it to me when they got new ones. It has over 4,000 songs on it. I used it for years until I got tired of carrying both an iPod and an iPhone. Now I just use my iPhone.

I think that is a wise approach to weighing in - I like it! Enjoy that vacation even if it is at home! :)
