I'm pretty surprised that I've almost lost 10lbs since I got back on track on April 21st. I'm pretty proud of myself! I've started using MyFitnessPal for calorie tracking and connecting with others (I love SP but I needed to shake things up after being here for 7 years, and I like MyFitnessPal's method for determining how many calories to eat). My weight loss this week wasn't amazing (0.6lbs), but it's moving in the right direction and I need to applaud myself for each step I take, no matter how small. I know why it wasn't more - I wasn't doing my pre-planning for meals, I did grab some handfuls of candy at work that I didn't track, I used one of my "cheat" days on Saturday and I didn't have much healthy stuff to choose from yesterday (definitely need to get to the grocery store ASAP!). All this can be changed super easy. I just gotta commit and do it!
I can already feel the difference, which surprises me. My clothes already feel better, I don't have those uncomfortable feelings everyday anymore. I know I'm only down 8.2 lbs, but it's made all the difference. By next week, I'm going to be able to say "I've lost 10lbs since I got back on track! YAHOOO!". Getting closer to that lowest weight again!
26 days until I leave for California, and I've got 7lbs to go to meet my "Lose 15lbs before vacation" goal. I'm going to do it, I can do it!!!!!!!!!!! I need to start thinking now about how I'm going to maintain that loss over vacation - when I went to Disneyland with my in-laws in 2010, I actually lost weight that week even though I wasn't tracking food and I was eating things I usually wouldn't. It can happen!
