Okay so that's a bit of an exaggeration but I blogged right before I left for vacation that I was feeling a bit discouraged that I wasn't seeing any movement on my scale
I was heartened by the encouragement and support I received from some of you about not focusing on the scale and enjoying my time away while continuing to track and monitor my food and fitness.
I took my tablet PC with me and continued to log into Spark People and track my food, fitness, water and sparkpoints daily. I read a motivational article or two every day and got in plenty of rest, relaxation, walking and a mental break from my job.
Though I was careful with my food choices, I did eat out a lot and it's much harder for me to control foods that I don't have a hand in preparing for myself, so I was a bit worried that this morning when I weighed in I might actually see a gain. That was not the case at all, in fact the scale showed a drop of 3 more pounds. Lesson learned here. Just keep doing what I need to do, faithfully track my food, fitness and water and let go of the results.
