I am back from a busy but very enjoyable Mother's Day Weekend! My husband and I toook my mother to Walt Disney World for Mother's Dy weekend. I did this the year I graduated high school and we had a great time. And this weekend was no differnt. We walked all over the parks back and forth and back and forth. I think Disney had of weight conscious people in mind when they created fast passes - you walk across the park to get the pass then back across the park to ridemore rides until your pass is avaliable to be used then back across te park to use it...all the while doging children, strollers, and wheel chairs..
However this weekend I happened to witness a woman pass out from heat stroke. As I was walking we approached I watched her crumble to the ground. Her friends were in a panic and yelling for help. My husband and I stopped and offered a cooling towel wel had to help bring he temperature back down. A Disney medic arrived quickly and said more were on their way but he wanted to move her to the shade until they arrived. Sadly the woman was very overwieght and the 5 of us were unable to mover her. Thankfully the rest of the medic team arrived within a couple minutes but I felt very sad for her. I pictured myself as her if I dont take control of my weight issue. She has been on my mind since then and hope she recovered well.
