. I finally got up at 4:30 am so I could take my 5 am RIPPED class. It's been a while, and wow was I feeling it ! But I am excited & wanted to get back to circuit training again. I love this class you get such a good workout. My husband recommended a good nutritionist that was new to out area, so I finally went in Friday. She has a nice store with rows of protein powders, supplement etc. I've been consistently gaining weight over the last year, and am at the point where most clothes are barely fleeting even in my larger clothes. I've also been really tired & not as much energy. I just had my blood test for my thyroid done again & they lowered it again. Last year they lowered it twice. I'm not sure why I'm needing less . At my age I'm wondering if I'm in peri menopause & that could be causing these symptoms. In any event I want to do something about it . I'm exited about my meal plan & supplements . I started today. She says I'm not eating that good . I'm now taking protein powder & virtually eliminating bread & even caffeine which is rough for me. She also told me I need more weight training. Silly me , I used to do virtually all circuit training classes. I love them because they are intense, and you do weights & cardio in one class. But then I started working out in my own & doing mostly cardio, & very little weights. I know better, but had forgotten how much weight training is important. Seems like so many people I've known focus just on the cardio, & don't realize having muscle mass burns lots of calories. And as we age it's especially important for our bones. My 16 year old daughter even told me yesterday do too much cardio. She's lost over 20 pounds in the last .8 months. She does lots of weights every gym trip & some cardio. In any event, I'm going to be doing more, & actually following a meal plan which I haven't done in years. I can't wait to see the result. And I'm told if I'm eating correctly, I won't be hungry, or have strong cravings at night. Guess well see.
