Back to the daily grind and loving it

Monday, May 13, 2013

Yesterday we were visiting the inlaws then had a 5 hour drive home. I believe I made the best choices available for breakfast and lunch. I was actually proud of myself for passing on the bagel and banana bread at breakfast, and instead chose fresh cut fruit and breakfast potatoes. And at lunch I had a veggie burger but instead of getting fries I ordered a plain baked potato. I was very proud of myself. But then we got home and hubby wanted veggie dogs for dinner so we had that plus a huge amount of tater tots and we also shared a bottle of wine we picked up in the inlaws town. They live in a wine-centric town, so we tend to sample a lot of the local vines when we visit. In summary, it was a weekend filled with various potatoes and wine!

And I got no exercise for the past three days. Today, I am back home and back to my regular schedule. That means planned meals, planned exercise, and no eating out and no wine. I will stay in my calorie range today!

I feel like its so much easier to stay on track at home where I have almost complete control over the food, and my schedule is fairly stable so I can easily plan and accomplish my exercise goals.

Today is day 6 of my free trial of spark coach. I would like to continue with it but not sure if I should sign up to get the great year long deal or just do it monthly. I'm guessing they don't actually have 365 new and unique daily program videos for me to watch and I'm assuming after a while the information will get redundant. If anyone has experience and thoughts and opinions on this, I'd love to hear them! Thanks!

Happy Monday Everyone!
