what a hot day it's still in the 80's and it's 10 @ night thank you anti-perspirant
my trip today didn't go quite to plan...we got off a little late (the tour escort was the last to arrive) then enroute to Julian the bus started alarming (we were never told what caused it), we limped our way to the tea house and the company had to send out another bus to take us home with. Murphy's Law strikes again. I thought I'd show you the scenic view from the bus as we climbed elevation to Julian at 4,000 ft elev.

you can see how dry things are not much rain this year, but the cows are still finding food and shade

higher elevation took us to more oaks and greenery

Julian looks a bit like an old Western town

our tea was held in a historic old home

and inside (for sale) was everything you could think of where tea is concerned rooms and rooms of it

and there was more but you get the picture, so on with the tea, and a lovely one it was look at all the food we had, and we each had a gift at our plates of tea and a cookie

this is one of the three teas we got to sample and I liked it so much, I bought a big bag of it for home

and dessert was a light angelfood cake

one of the gals bought this set

since we were done before our replacement bus came, I took photos of the flowers and the group waiting in the shade

I watched this crow stealing cat food

and a horse and carriage made the rounds a few times

also checked out this artist studio, you had to go inside to see what the art was, I haven't seen anything like it before, acrylic and paint and carving freestyle

so the bus finally arrived and we headed homeward
