Weekly Update Blog

Well I haven't exactly been keeping up with my weekly blogs but I'm going to try to change that. I'm down 105lbs now and super excited about that. I'm also excited because I've been making real progress with my running. The other day I ran 2 miles straight. It too me a little less than 23 minutes and for me that's amazing. I never went less that 5mph.. but more than half of the time I was going 5.5mph. It's funny to me that I was such a hater of running for sooooo long and now it's pretty much my preferred cardio. I used to try anything I could to get out of running in gym class and for the first year and a half of my weight loss journey I avoided it like the plague. I sometimes still feel like running is complete misery in the moment, but lately even during my runs I think to myself "I feel fine.. weird." Meaning that my legs aren't tired, my heart isn't beating out of my chest, and my lungs don't feel like they could explode at any second.. I really have come a long way from the girl who couldn't run 20 feet without thinking I was going to croak.


Here are a few things I remind myself of to make it through my runs:
1. You mind will give up 1000 times before your body ever will.
2. When I'm on the treadmill "you aren't really tired right now, you are just bored"
3. You aren't gonna die, keep going.
When I feel like I wanna quit I tell myself these things because they are always true. We are capable of so much more than we realize!
