I can hardly believe that I have been sparking for 70 days straight today! I have passed my longest streak of 62 days and am so excited to know that I will continue on this streak unless something happens to my ability to get online. :)
Now this doesn't mean that I have exercised everyone of these days but I've come pretty close to it and am proud of what I have done. And it doesn't mean that I have done everything right but it does mean that I am keeping myself accountable and making my health a priority. I haven't lost a lot of weight but I have lost some and I'm still working on losing the rest.
The 5% challenge is what turned everything around for me. I started my first 5% challenge in February and the first week I did great but then the second week I lost my steam. I posted about it and would apologize to the team for not helping and doing my part to help the team succeed. The support and responses that I got gave me the push that I needed to get off my butt and get moving. I admit that some days I am lazy and only do the exercises from my 10 week workout plan, which only takes me about 20 minutes, but there are days that I push myself and do that and another 30-40 minutes of cardio or more. Now I'm in my 2nd 5% challenge with the Shooting Stars and I stepped up to be Challenge Leader because I so believe in this challenge. The motivation that you get from being on a team is unbelievable and the things you learn will help you along your journey whether you are just beginning or even at goal and maintaining already.
My goal for this challenge is to get under 140 and stay there. If I lose my 5% then I will be at 137 and that would be awesome. I plan on increasing my cardio and adding in more steps as often as possible. I would also like to add more crossfit workouts into my week. Maybe throw in an Insanity workout or 2 for the added ST and Cardio together.
