Got my first compliment

Sunday, May 12, 2013

Today at work I got my first compliment about losing weight. I didn't expect it or know what to say. I was thinking maybe the person was just being nice because it seems like too soon for people to notice. (2 months) I have a lot of weight to lose. But I have to say that I move a lot better and there is a big decrease in pain, and my clothes seem to fit looser. Well, however it was meant I am grateful. I look forward with patience to the day when I met my goal weight. One day at a time. Cheers, Keith

emoticon Good for you! It's still wonderful to be acknowledged, even though we are doing this for ourselves, right? Part of what they are noticing is that you are moving better and feeling better about yourself! emoticon

Cool -- a compliment is always nice. People are noticing, too. Well done. Enjoy it.

It feels great when people notice and after 2 months, you must be doing something right!

    It's a compliment, unsolicited.

Take it and run with it. Sadly there will be many in your future who will be "well-meaning" who will tell you that you (a) have lost enough, (b) have lost too much, (c) look sick, (d) will never reach you goal and many other less than helpful things.

So take the compliment.
