The blog title refers to a poem I heard years ago... there are many women who, though they've never had children, have certainly helped us mother our own children... they could be neighbours, aunts, friends, etc. That poem has stuck with me since I heard it and I especially always think of it on Mother's Day!
Last night my daughter made pasta primavera with asparagus for supper, and rhubarb crepes for dessert. Everything was delicious!! I also got flowers and a book from her & my son for Mother's Day. After supper, she & her boyfriend headed off to a dance.
Today DH & I attended the christening of one of our great-nephews - a lovely service. We saw DH's mom for a visit, and enjoyed a potluck lunch with family. Next, we headed to the nursing home to have supper and a visit with my mom & dad. One of my 2 sisters and her DH were there for supper too!
Back to the condo where my son wanted to skype to say hi for Mother's Day. This was a very nice surprise for me as he was travelling & I didn't expect to hear from him today!
Have a successful spark week everyone!
