A New Way To Celebrate

I decided to spend Mothers' Day packed with lots of exercise, instead of food centered activities. I started my day by thanking my children for being my children (parenting has been the greatest joy of my life). My husband and children gave me balloons and our meals were healthy and very simple. I spent the day communicating with the many people, whom I love all over this great country (I am grateful for modern technology). My workout program was packed with the many different styles of music that I love. I made healthy smoothies for us all to share. My husband surprised me with a CD of my favorite childhood music. I danced, laughed and cried as I enjoyed the music that reminded me of my parents (I loss them a few years ago, six months apart). Today I celebrate my mother (she was an amazing woman,mother and grandmother) and my being a mother, in a healthy way. I am grateful for the healthy baby steps that I am taking daily. I am also very grateful for my SparkPeople friends.
