derp etc. (update and my new goal)

Sunday, May 12, 2013

I've been weighing in daily and on Thursday I was down 5 pounds but on Saturday I was right back at square one again. (Frustratingggg lol). I have been making mini meal plans and I stuck to them. Until Friday. I didn't really do all that bad, calorie wise, but I pretty much just ate complete crap. We are shopping Monday evening for everything I need, and I will prep and portion each meal from Tuesday until the Thursday after.

New goal: 5% of my weight.

17 pounds is a lot to aim for after being at such a plateau for so long, but with my meal plans and prep as well as continuing the May challenge, I think I will be able to make a good dent in my five percent.

This upcoming week is going to be rather busy, but I'm hoping to lose two pounds by working hard and watching what I eat.

LOL, your scale sounds like mine. I think they conspire to completely deflate our egos. Seriously. ;)

I'm getting really tired of the plateau I'm on, too. You're doing the 5% challenge? Me too! We're not together, though. :( :( Well, we're together in spirit.

BTW, got your message. I'm going to try to email you tomorrow. It's been a busy day, and now I'm completely knackered and need to head to bed. I just wanted you to know I read your entry and that I'm thinking of you.

Welcome to the Shooting Stars. I weigh myself everyday too. If you do it long enough you start to realize that fluctuations of 5 or even more pounds is normal. (but still frustrating) Plateaus are frustrating too but you have embarked on one of the best ways to bust one. There's lots of support here and I find myself thinking twice about what I eat and exercising when I really didn't feel like it just for the sake of the team. Happy Sparking! Here's to reaching your goal.

First and foremost I would like to welcome you to the Shooting Stars!!! Get ready to break that plateau!!!!

I too weigh myself almost everyday and get so frustrated when I have a loss during the week only to have a gain on my official weigh-in day. I finished the Winter 5% at 143.8 (I think) and started this one at 144.8. I'm not going to complain too much but I would have really liked to come back at the same or even a little less.

This challenge will motivate you in so many ways, at least that is what it did for me. I make sure to check in everyday and even bought myself a Fitbit One so that I could better judge how active I was. I have not been without it since the day I received it in the mail!!! I love it but what I love even more is this challenge and the team. With all the support and everyone working together I am now more motivated than I have been in many years. Today is my Streak Day 70 for logging in and staying accountable. I haven't worked out all of those days but I have done a lot more than I was doing before the Winter challenge started!!!!

Good luck on your journey and no matter what remember that we are here to support you!
