One of the best weekends my hubby and I have had in a long time:)
Got a very late start Friday and due to construction got to my sister's around 9:30.
Chatted with her a bit and got last minute instructions for the shower:)
Up and at 'em for my KB routine. Decided against going to the gym since I would have had to walk/run in the pouring rain. Not fun, or worth 10 bucks.
2.5 miles warm up on her exercise bike. 2 circuits of:
KB swings, push ups, sumo squats with high pull, Russian twists, side planks with dips, and deadlifts. Blinded by sweat and loving every minute of it!
Then headed to the dress fitting. Had an awesome seamstress take the time the explain to me why she was altering the dress the way she was.
The main event:
Throughout the morning I left random "presents" around the house for my sister. Super silly stuff just to lighten the mood. She has been so stressed so when she found a rubber duck in her bathtub, a slim jim on her mantle, and a small garden decoration in her fridge, she busted up and told me I was nuts. Well perhaps, but it made her laugh, blame her fiance, and just cracked me up:) No stress:)
The shower itself was great. Everyone had fun. My sister loved it. My mom love it, and complimented me a few times. She did try to get to me a few times and I just walked away. I really had no time for her. I sat with my cousin who I hadn't seen in forever. She is expecting baby #2:)
After the shower, we packed up the left overs and headed back to my sister's. Got her pup out for a walk and then headed to the local bar to hear a band she really likes. They were good. The place was not crowded and several people entertained up with their dancing skills:) The most fun the 4 of us have had in awhile.
Today we headed back and I will spend tomorrow getting my life reorganized for the rest of the week. A few short weeks and we'll be back again for the wedding. Time will fly and my sister will be a wife:)
Back to SWEAT and spin in the AM. Should be interesting after 2 days off. I think that is the most time I have been away from class. LEGS on the schedule. Let's see how mine hold out:)
594.75 miles for the year....those last 6 don't stand a chance tomorrow!
