Happy Mothers Day!!
I'm pretty tired today, but I've made a great start to the 5% Challenge! Yesterday began with a two-hour work day at the community garden (10-noon), then I headed over to the new cooperative grocery space (we're moving to a MUCH bigger space!!) and spackled, sanded, swept, and cleaned from 1-4. Then it was home to shower and change, and back to the cooperative for the first Mosey Down Main Street (downtown Lafayette festival) - I set up and tore down my table and supplies, walked about for about an hour, then helped a friend tear down his table.
And even though a big part of me REALLY wanted to go straight home and to bed, I went out to a bonfire with the guy I've been seeing. It was a lot of fun - but it was 3 this morning when I finally got home and went to bed!!
So Mother's day started a little late for me. I slept in a bit!
I got my mom a gorgeous orchid - pure white petals, and a pale bluish-purple center. And when I arrived at my parents house, she was just getting ready to pull weeds - so I got in yet more gardening this afternoon! We ate lunch and watched a movie, and I did some crunches and pushups and such, and now we're getting ready to go out to her BFFs house for a mother's day grill-out - featuring veggie kebabs!!
It's been a tiring - but EXCELLENT - weekend, and a great way to start off the 5% challenge!!
