I just finished an awesome 45 minute cardio workout! Its a workout that I haven't done in about several months...a video game for Wii called "My Fitness Coach." Now maybe you might think a video game couldn't really be such a great workout. But trust me, this one really makes me WORK and sweat! Here's a Youtube video of the cardio workout portion;

Anyway, this is the workout I started with on March 1, 2012. I was 286 lbs back then, and the thought of doing 45 minutes of cardio seemed like the impossible dream! I could barely get through 15 minutes of that workout, and I had to modify a lot of the moves and go at a slower pace. And even then, I would be exhausted at the end of the workout! But I stuck with it, and within a few months I was able to workout longer, and although I still had to make modifications, I was really proud of my progress. I continued doing that workout daily, until I started to get bored with it. Then I put it away for a while, but I always knew I'd eventually want to come back to it. And now, almost 6 months later, I'm doing that workout again.

Today's workout was amazing, because I could see how much FITTER I've gotten since the last time I did it! Not only did I have more endurance, but I had more strength. I could actually do all the moves that I had to modify before, this time without having to modify them! Oh, it was a struggle to do certain moves, but thats what makes it great. Struggles make you stronger, after all. I never get frustrated when I struggle with a workout. I actually look forward to struggles, because I know I will eventually get better if I just keep trying. And to me, one of the best feelings in the world is when I can finally do something that used to be too hard for me.

There once was a time when I used to say I didn't have time to workout. Funny though...I always had time to sit and watch TV. I had all the time in the world to eat unhealthy food. I had plenty of time to sit around and hope that "someday", I would lose weight. But really, I was just wasting every moment of my life. Thank God, I don't do that anymore. I DO have time to workout, because I make it a priority. I always remind myself that I am worth my best effort. And you are worth YOUR best effort too!

    Yes, Wii can "kick your butt" most of the time. I think it learns (which is scary if you think about it)! 71 pounds gone is just emoticon ! emoticon
