A little triumph

Sunday, May 12, 2013

So, I was picking up a prescription at the local grocery store and I really wanted a piece of cheesecake. I told myself that I would just buy one of those single serve ones and not an ENTIRE one. I was hungry anyway and that is the worst time to go to the grocery store. Hungry and tons of food around? Not a good plan. However, after I picked up my prescription and grabbed the single slice of cheesecake. I changed my mind. I put it back and just left with my prescription. I realized I didn't really want the cheesecake - I was just hungry and if I got myself home and just made a decent meal, I'd be cool without the cheesecake. It worked. I was fine. Not a huge triumph, but something I haven't done in awhile... forego temptation.
Small steps. Here's to another... cheers.

It is totally a huge triumph. Good for you! Sometimes these things just pass. Did you know I once got hit in the head by an owl? Yep, a young owl learning to hunt saw all my curly hair and thought I was some sort of prey. Whacked me right on the back of my head. The upside was that the Barred Owl did not have his talons out. He flew from my head up to a big tree. Enjoy Mother's Day! emoticon
