We are having another drismal rainy day today in RI.
My poor daughter, who got home from work at 11:30 last night (from walmart) had to be back at work for 9 this morning.
Hope she doesn't have to collect carts in the rain today (she does that some days).
Before she left at 8:15 she ate a healthy breakfast, unloaded the dishwasher and remembered to leave a card and gift for me for Mother's Day.
Is she not the sweetest little thing?
The scale made me happy again today, my official weigh-in day, so I changed my ticker, and ...my waist has consistently been down an inch so I am sticking with that!
My plan today is a semi-fast-
only green tea until I hit the gym this morning-
a normal lunch-
and a steak dinner tonight.
We do flatiron steaks now- so easy to slice and eat just 3-4 ounces- and lean, too, hopefully with my son and dil and grandkids.
I hope all of you mothers have a fabulous day and,
if you are one of the lucky ones with a mom still around,
give her a tender hug and kiss today.
She may not have been perfect but she's the reason you are here.
They don't live forever.
I lost my dear mother in 2007, at the age of 80.
