Glad it's Sunday
Sunday, May 12, 2013
I've had a busy week this past week. I'm glad it's Sunday and that my day isn't packed with activities that must be done. I can catch up on some house work if I feel like it. I can relax a little and work on the afghan that I am making for a baby shower that I am going to. I get to decide today. Woo hoo! I need a day like this. Just wishing it was warmer outside.

Happy Mother's Day to you too. Glad you get a free choice day... Most of my days seem that way lately, so it's lost a lot of the fascination.
Glad reading about my reading has got you back into reading. Sorry about your experiences with the library were discouraging, but don't give up on them. At least here in Canada, they are a wonderful source of books, and they will order in anything you want, even new books, though it may e a wait, but to save $30 or more is worth it. What are you reading? I really enjoy medical mysteries, but also read Danielle Steel and got a Nicholas Sparks at the library yesterday, must have missed it when it was out in 2010. I also read all the books out by both local authors, Lesley Crewe and Hilary MacLeod. After reading that book club one by Frank MacDonald, "A Forest for Callum", I should check out more by him too.
and also to save money, we don't pay for cable or satelite tv, and only download the couple of shows we watch, Coronation Street, Touch, and Scandal. And we do still have a couple of series - Strong Medicine, The Good Wife to watch too. We don't have the tv on 24/7 anymore like it used to be. And we don't watch commercials at all..
Well, Buddy and I went for a quick walk this am already cuz when I put him out to pee, I got a couple of raindrops on my face, so we left right away, and were lucky, the rain held off still, though you can feel the change in the air. I forgot my pedometer this am and took a differerent route. But, I think I can most assuredly say that I am not getting anywhere near 2000 steps in. I don't have any reason at all why I'm not walking with Leslie on WATP either. I really should.
Well, hope you enjoyed your free choice day. I told dh to call his mother and invite her for dinner. She prefers to go out, but I don't like to, they can't cook as good as me, and I don't get what I want or know what is in I'm eating. I will make her "soft food", probably mashed potatoes and peas and pan fried tilapia. I did buy a new fish fillet yesterday for half price. It is called "Hoki", never heard of it, but at half price, good time to try it. There was another fish I tried in AB, and we loved it, but then the store never brought it back in again. I'll have to check where it's from
