I am encouraged by my weight loss of just one pound. The first week in the May challenge is behind me and I am motivated to keep working toward more weight loss. After asking for support from Spark friends who walked together, IUSBDEB gifted me with some green produce from the Farmer's Market yesterday morning:
Thank you for the romaine and the asparagus, the spring greens and the red pepper and for coming to my yoga class, and for being willing to stay afterward and work out on the ellipticals for 33 minutes.
I was hungry after the morning and chose breakfast for lunch. Asked for just egg whites and tomatoes and mushrooms in my omelette and said no, thank you to any cheese nor toast, even turned down a pancake. My husband noticed and said, "you did well in your choices at lunch." His comment of support meant a lot to me and he was the one that ate the pancake.
I made salad for dinner and pasta.
I stuck to the plan I'm following, it's worked for me before. I measured out just one cup of Barilla Plus Rotini noodles, topped them off with 1/2 cup of Barilla Tomato and Basil pasta sauce. And sprinkled 1 and 1/2 Tablespoon of shredded parmesan cheese over the top.
This was the first evening in a long time that I was under my calories' range. I allowed myself 9 low fat pretzel sticks and ended up with 1,208 calories for the day. We watched Barbara Streisand in the movie, "The Guilt Trip," it felt good to laugh.
