10 years ~ brought to you by Spark Coach! ;-)

Sunday, May 12, 2013

Moving forward with Spark Coach, today's coaching session asked me to seriously imagine myself 10 years from now.... with details!

Well, I'm 55 years old now. Imagining myself at 65 right now doesn't look pretty. Following the typical, expected trending of life my first thought was OLD, you know those aged, wrinkled faces with the smiling eyes? or those grandmotherly women rocking away the day in comfy rockers?

Is that me in 10 years?

OR....

now this is where SparkCoach's exercise got me to thinking...really thinking!

What if my "10-years-from-now-self" is 65, with long, flowing, slightly gray hair, sparkling blue eyes, no canes, easily walking around the block everyday, surrounded by all kinds of family & friends, happily living a life that brings joy and happiness to others? (and going out dancing every Friday night!)

Within this is my motivation for improving my health NOW!

I'm going to be 65 in less than 2 months so 75 is a time that hopefully we will be in the new system and have been for many years. I too hope we will be healthy and happy. emoticon

You got me thinking, in 10 years I'll be 70. Do I still want to be fighting my weight? No, I want to be where I'll be healthy! Thank you for opening my eyes and lighting that fire under me, to stop playing around and get down to business. We have so many older magazines that give us such encouragement from our brothers and sisters, I'm going to look them up and make copies to have on hand to read when I need the extra help.
Thank you again my sister. take care, Debbi emoticon

I'm with Asta on being 65....but still I get what you are saying and if you make that start you can do it. I once heard it said that we should think about who we want to be and then set goals and principles in place to be that person.
I also want to be a healthy 65 year old with twinkling eyes and a ready smile.

ahhh....65 is not old...nor does it necessarily mean a face full of wrinkles. lol I know..I am almost there! THAT said, I hope your ten-years-from-now self will be happy and healthy. emoticon
