Day 561 - a long run

Got my 6.5 mile run in tonight! I had a hard time falling to sleep this morning (busy night) so I slept later than I should have but I REALLY needed that sleep. It took awhile for my inner self to talk my body into getting ready, getting set and getting on the road. It was pretty windy and seemed cool because of that wind but it was about 57 degrees. I had long pants, 2 lightweight jackets and a headband and my gloves and by the time I got warmed up and started running I realized that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

I had decided NOT to go out to the trail that circles a local lake because of the wind so I took off through the local neighborhoods and headed down to the Papio trail instead. By the time I got halfway close to my neighborhood again I had to call hubby to meet me and get one of the jackets and my gloves. HOT!!! I then wound around through more neighborhoods to get back towards home and decided I should have run the Lake Zorinsky trail since it is mainly flat. We have WAY TOO MANY hills around my house and I think I hit the worst ones today. It'll be interesting to see the change in elevations when I study my report from Garmin.

I went over my calorie and fat range today for my nutrition but I had a feeling I would because I decided to have cream of potato soup with my salad at breakfast last night. I also forgot that I'm not supposed to have dairy or regular potatoes! Hopefully it doesn't throw my purification program off a whole lot.
