go to the thrift store and just bring it home

Saturday, May 11, 2013

I am a thrift store addict.

It is nearly a compulsion. I say my car is possessed and it makes me go there.
That is a lie.
I just plain am afraid of missing a good buy.
My main thrift obsession is old glittery glamorous vintage jewelry.
The older, the better.
It is my excuse to stop at the thrift store, but really, very few good jewelry finds ever hit the floor.
Do I walk out empty handed if I don't score an old piece of unloved jewelry?
No.
There are very few times I go in and come out the same weight as what I went in at.
This week I found a Mastrad TOPCHIPS chip maker. I never knew it existed, but I knew I wanted it. It makes "chips" in the microwave naked.
Guess what?? It works. I am now munching on naked sweet potato chips. They are good too.
Hubby is making regular white potato chips now and liking them also.
I seriously doubt anyone ever got up and went to a thrift store in search of a Mastad TOPCHIPS chip maker, but.............that is what came home with me.

side note: I am a costume jewelry rescuer. If you have any that you do not know what to do with, and you don't love it, please consider me .
