First, I know Sunday will not be an easy day for everyone. To those who have lost their mothers or didn't grow up with their mothers around
To everyone else, no matter how crazy you think your mom is, cherish the moments you can spend with her!
Something I love about my mom is that she taught us that it is okay to have our own beliefs and ideas and to make up our own minds about situations.
She also taught my sisters and I to not be easily influenced by others and we definitely don't get influenced easily which is a very good thing! If I ever have children, I will teach them the same lessons.
My sisters and I have to go find our mom a gift. Talk about last minute! We plan to get her something but when we went to purchase it, there was none left! It's okay. I'm sure we'll find something. Mom always says she doesn't want anything and it can be frustrating because she is not the easiest person to find a gift for. It's nice when your mom has an idea about what she would like. We may stick with flowers. Almost everyone loves flowers.
My mom is also going to possibly get my grandma some flowers today. My mom *always* does things at the last minute and even though my sisters and I are in the same boat this year, it is not an inherited trait. At least, I hope not. My mom isn't too last minute this year. She already bought some wind chimes for my grandma a few weeks ago but my grandma loves flowers so we will all be a bit busy today hunting for mother's day gifts.
Don't know if I'll go to my grandma's. Don't want any stress but there may not be any. Also, she always has sweets but I don't eat anything I don't want to eat. If someone tries to pressure me into eating something, I just tell them that if they want someone to eat it so badly, be my guest. They don't like when I tell them they can eat it instead.
Sometimes, you just have to make the best out of a situation that is less than ideal.
Hope all of the mothers out there have a happy, healthy Mother's day!
