Day 41 - Making right choices!

Saturday, May 11, 2013

I am at work for 10 hours today at the group home and I was running late from home to bring in any healthy foods from the house...technically, I've been working a lot of hours and there is no real healthy foods there...

So, usually by lunch time in the past, I would always his Subway for a 6-inch tuna sub. I also got the 2 or 3 chocolate chip cookies and a bottled soda. This is my typical Saturday lunch.

At lunch time, of course I got hungry, but Subway just did not appeal to me. I decided to go home (I work about 1/4 mile from my home) and I made my egg and cheese sandwich using earthgrains bread and peach salsa. Yum!

I traded an astranomical amount of calories of over 1,300 from Subway for a sensible 260 calorie lunch!

Definitely making the right choices! emoticon
