It is only 3 weeks to our holiday and to my disappointment I am still the same weight as I was in January. I believe it is down to stress but I am still hoping to lose weight just not in time for my hols.
My husband Michael has depressive periods of up to 8 weeks with about 2-3 weeks up and I find this very hard to cope with, when he is down he will not eat properly, wash or dress in that time.
I think because I spend so much on my own I probably eat more than I realise, I do try to keep a food diary but often fail plus I have some minor health problems such as not sleeping well and itchiness.

    I'm sure the stress is contributing to the lack of sleep which contributes to the feeling of tiredness that causes you to eat to feel better. Its a vicious cycle, but you can break that when you choose. It will not be easy to rein it in and find healthy not eating ways to face and solve what is stressing you. Your husband's actions sound very like my DH's before we discovered he has a bipolar disorder, and now it is controlled with a medicine called Invega, and Librium to stop the constant anxiety he has along with it. Your Primary care physician should be able to help you find out if that is what he has, and it can be treated. Exercise in small amounts like 10 minutes at a time is a huge stress buster that raises endorphins and makes you feel better, plus as you work the minutes up it may jumpstart your weight loss again.     You haven't gained so that is a plus. It is almost impossible to lose when under a lot of stress. Just hang in there. emoticon emoticon
