Holy Cow! The hCG Diet May Be Linked to Creutzfeldt–Jakob Disease!

Saturday, May 11, 2013

I've been off this diet two and a half months and still can't believe the stuff I learn about. Others who have been harmed as well by this diet have some great information.

Here is what I was just given:

So, apparently, there is some thought that injectable hCG has actually caused Mad Cow Disease. This is a tough one to link though because Mad Cow can show up decades later. Have to wonder if in 30 or so years we'll see a large number of these cases appearing because of our 'beloved' hCG diet.

But, what about the drops? Well, truthfully, there is no hCG in them, well, at least not in the ones I was taking. I saw this image and found it interesting:

These were the measurements on my bottle. Everybody I agreed, no hCG in there. Fortunately, even if there was real hCG, there is no way it could be absorbed under the tongue. The molecules are just too large. So, if you are taking the drops, which are really nothing more than an expensive placebo, Mad Cow Disease should not be a concern.

But, this does go to show, these diets can have effects that we would never even consider.

And, of course, if you haven't read my own experience with this diet:

I am so not a fan now. There is no way this was worth the toll it took on my body.
