It's Spring! Time to clean up: the house, the yard, the garage, the fridge & pantry.
Dogs are shedding. It's driving me NUTS, trying to do deep cleaning on the house and keep up with all the dog hair. Everywhere!
On the positive side, I spoke with other HH members and we have set aside a long weekend to work as a team on some long overdue projects, such as decluttering the basement. We're going to do it like they do on those shows, pulling everything OUT and then only bringing back into the house the things we really want, need, and have a place for.
What does this have to do with diet & exercise? Well, a lot, actually. Clutter in a home is, I think, the psychological equivalent of clogged arteries. And when things are disorganized, it's hard to do anything around the home efficiently. And efficiency is what you need to free up time to exercise and cook right. And clutter feels heavy and lethargic. I really don't like clutter, not that you could tell by walking thru my basement!
One new tool I'm really excited about: my new high speed blender. I LOVE it. makes a very quick meal. I often eat on the go & was having a hard time with veggies/salads. Well, a green smoothie is basically a salad you can drink on the run. Love it! I'm really starting to develop a habit of turning to it for a quick on-the-go meal as opposed to the old habit of stopping by the drive thru.
