Hello all, hope your week has been a good one! Mine has been a mixture of good and bad. So we were approved for housing and I have been online looking for a place and calling places. Let me tell you, there is not a whole lot of managers that will take housing in the South Salem, OR area. So on Tuesday, I had an appointment to check out an apartment. We drove up and all I can say is what a small shack. We waited for 10 extra minutes and then we left, the manager never even showed up. So we went to a place she suggested. They didn't have any availabilities and they also didn't take housing. I asked her if she knew anyone who did. And she handed me a sheet of places that had whether or not they accepted housing or not. She then asked me what I was looking for. So I told her I was looking for an apartment, duplex, and/or town home. She went over to her computer and said that she was helping at an apartment complex that accepted housing and she had to go by there anyway. So she showed me the place on the computer. It looked lovely!!! So we waited 5 minutes and then she drove us right there.
She showed us the upstairs apartment first. It was nice, it was carpeted, the bathroom was small, not enough cupboard space, a small master bedroom closet, plenty of kitchen cupboard space, a big fridge and freezer, two balconies, lots of light, vaulted ceilings, and our bedrooms were right beside each other. We then checked out the laundry room that was down stairs. It's four flights of stairs so it's a ways up and down... Not so good with a toddler. So we were walking up the stairs to go checkout the other side where there was a downstairs apartment and as we were walking up I hit my head hard on part of the building. All I can say is ouch! It almost knocked me out... So we finally made it to the downstairs apartment. It was incredible!!!! The floor plan is way different... There's one bedroom right across from the door, which would be my son's room. So there would have to be a door guard on the door so he doesn't open the door and wander outside. Then there's the kitchen with a few less cupboards, a smaller fridge, a nice linen/pantry closet, a nice spacious bathroom with plenty of cupboard space on the bottom, two patios with a small back yard on each, a huge closet in the master bedroom, and two doors that open the master bedroom, a door that leads from the master bedroom to the bathroom and another door that leads to the hallway, and last but not least all hardwood floors. Can you guess which one I loved? Yes your right the downstairs one!!!
So I got all the information on it and it fit into the housing budget! So we went to the agency filled out the application. I submitted all the other paperwork today that they called about, so I should hear something on Monday! The way it all happened is God ordained!!!! I know we got the place, just waiting for the agency to confirm it. So then what's left is housing to do there inspection and it will pass in Jesus name!!!! Then after it passes I give my 14 day notice and we're outta here, whoohooo!!!!
So I have been downsizing and getting rid of a ton of stuff that I don't want to take with me when we move. I have been packing in Faith, knowing that it is just a matter of time before we move and I want to be ready!!! I also got another TADVS grant that['s good for 90 days but I won't need that many days. I believe we will be moved out by the end of this month!!!! So that is what I have been up to this week!!!! Have a great weekend all!!!!!!
