Oh am I tired! I didn't do all that much more than I did on Wednesday, but for some reason I am totally wiped out. I will take the dog for a short walk this evening, but other than that I am going to put my feet up and relax. I made myself a cup of tea, put on some Mozart and was just sitting in my recliner listening to the music and the rain. I totally wanted to just waste the day today, but made myself go to the gym and run. I ran, then pedaled, then ran some more at a steeper incline. And then I did ST. Add in dog walks and some light house cleaning and I am exhausted. I think I will be over 100 miles tracked this week, so I think I have earned two active recovery days this weekend. I have decided that I can't really call them "rest days" since I generally walk ten miles every day. Some days it is a little less, but in general 10 miles is my goal for walking mileage. I am going to have to take an actual rest day one of these days, but not right now. I am on Day 598 of my fitness streak, and I want to keep it going for at least until September 20th. So, I am pretty wiped out, but feeling really good. I definitely don't regret working out today, despite the struggle I had convincing myself to go do it. Silly me!!
I got a new pair of hiking sandals today. I can wear them in the water, so I can wear them when we go kayaking. I got them so that I can go hiking up at Arkwright Falls. You have to walk in the creek part of the way, so sneakers would be uncomfortable for the return hike. I haven't been up to the falls for years, and I am excited to get up there again.
