You Get Nothing

Friday, May 10, 2013

I tell you, today I have zero patience for stupidity.

Whining? Nope, not going to tolerate it.

Bad driving? Forget it...I will yell at you...probably a long string of profanities.

Self pity? Save it. I don't want to hear it.

Guilt trips? Ha! Don't waste your time.

Blaming everyone and everything for your failures? Stop being a baby and own your failure. Take responsibility for your mistakes!

I tell people all the time, "There are lots of reasons, but no excuses."

    Thank you KIKIMAV!

I volunteer at a local community college, in a painting class, as a professor's assistant. I tell students all the time that "there are lots of reasons, but no excuses." Sometimes it makes them frown, but it usually makes them laugh.

I love personal responsibility and strength. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to get through this journey. So, what to some people sounds like me being mean, is really me trying to get them to be more, and be stronger, because I KNOW they can do it.

(And there are just certain days here on Spark People when people are not eager to hear someone say that they need to put their big boy pants on.)

You might think that this is a negative post, but for me it's quite the opposite!!!
I didn't comment on it the first time I read it, but it made sush an impact on me.

Since I read it, whenever I feel negatively, I remember this post and I pull myself together and take responsibility for my actions and feelings!!

A big emoticon

There are just some days I shouldn't go on the SP message boards. Yesterday was one of those days.

I can totally relate to this. I had a day like that this week. I attributed it to PMSing on my behalf (hormones) because it was better the next day. I would love to blame it on all the stupid people though, there are plenty of them around. LOL. Hope you are feeling less growly soon little bear.
