Five days of Fat Fast. Started at 161.8. (I'm only five feet tall, so that's definitely obese.) Yesterday, after four days of FF I was at 160. Ok, that's not great, but I'll take it. Today, day 5, I'm at 161.2.
Yes, I'm drinking lots of water.
Yes, I'm weighing and measuring everything.
No cheats. Not a bite, not a taste.
Yes, I'm taking a good multi, plus fish oil, plus vitamin D.
I've got to start getting a little more protein.
I'm open to suggestions, as long as you don't suggest low fat and higher carb. Been there, done that.

    So what did you try and how did it go?

Not that I've been fat-fasting, but I have been cycling between high and low calories (while maintaining LC). I've had a few screw-ups; but what I've been doing seems at times to be having a good effect. Then I screw up -- so it is hard to tell if it really can work.

And it isn't hard to do when you are using the food tracker; it is just my particular, unusual circumstances this past week that screws me up. I'll crow about it if it really does work, so keep checking back with the Atkins Team!

    I'm with ADZY86.
Personally, I tried easing back into normal LC eating by rigorously watching my nutrition levels -- adding only 200 calories and 5 g carbs for 4 days at a time to the Fat Fast levels. Then I'd repeat the process of adding until I got all the way back to normal -- but my weight rebounded along with it! You certainly have nothing to fear by dramatically upping your calories for a day or two.

Just don't think you can continue fat-fasting. You DO need the protein! Fatty proteins are sardines, grouper, pork rinds, Spam (sorry but it's true! And you know its salt will add some temporary water weight), and certain beef briskets. You could also try adding protein shakes -- made with some whipping cream in addition to the other liquid you use... and more macadamias!

Do keep us posted on what you try and how you did!

    No I don't think your body isn't rebelling against lack of carbs. Our bodies can survive perfecto well without the crazy amounts of carbs that are typically recommended for us. Maybe work on upping your calories some more, I'm talking pushing 2000+. Sounds crazy but I've seen it work. Good luck
