Sparkcoach told me to write about my exercise plan -- which is ironic,because this week it has not felt like i have an exercise plan.
I was hiking and doing couch to 10 k, and then this week -- I just haven't felt like it.
I think part of it is Mother's Day - i've been dreading it all week, and have been hibernating inside. I've done some workout videos, but not doing consistent anything.
So I don't really know where to go from here. I am hesitant to plan a big exercise routine and then feel like a failure when I don't do it. I tend to overplan things.
What has worked for me in the past is a combo of being flexible and scheduled -- My goal is 20 minutes of exercise every day. I frequently do more, but feel successful if I do only 20. It's a small enough number that I don't feel daunted by it.
A friend of mine is going to be putting out weekly exercise videos, starting on Monday - so I plan on doing those.
I am trying to connect with some local people to go on some hikes throughout the week.
I have a hula hoop and weights and yoga mat.
I bought batteries yesterday to hook up my wii so I can do wii fit stuff.
I think I'll give myself this week of just making sure I get in 20 minutes of something every day, before coming up with a more structured exercise plan. I don't know. What do you think? Do you have a plan you stick to every week?
