Day 1 - Again! A work in progress...

Friday, May 10, 2013

Yes, I am back at day one again. Just made it to the gym this morning and I'm feeling great! I had a relapse yesterday. I was so sick and didn't even want to think about dieting and the prep work that goes along with it. Although, I am still feeling feverish I wanted to go to the gym and get my workout in.

Today is a fresh new start for me not just physically, but mentally. I'm trying to psych myself out into this whole new lifestyle change. Slowly, but surely I know I will get there. Thank you everyone for the lovely advice and words of encouragement! I will keep you posted on my progress. One thing that I forgot to include was a picture of myself at my current weight level. You will be seeing this pic every month to show a comparison of the months to come... I'm not too happy with this picture, but who likes looking at themselves when they're overweight and out of shape. lol

emoticon emoticon you did not give up and are picking your self up dusting off and going again from where you are are

If you FAIL, never give up because F.A.I.L. means "First Attempt In Learning."
END is not the END. In fact, E.N.D. means "Effort Never Dies."
If you get NO as an answer, remember N.O. means "Next Opportunity."
BE POSITIVE ALWAYS and bring your perfect smile with you.

If you fall off the wagon ... get back on again. The only way you fail is if you give up.

Good going!

If trying to build a streak motivates you then definitely keep the "Day One" theme. But if you find that it makes you feel like you're always starting over, then ditch it.

Every day is filled with choices - your job is to make more positive choices every day than negative ones. That attitude will let you be human and have down days once in a while without feeling like you're back at the starting line!

A few good reads to keep you motivated are "Why We Get Fat and What To Do About It" by Gary Taubes and "Wheat Belly" by William Davis, MD. And there's always Jimmy Moore's excellent podcasts!
