Groceries around the world

Friday, May 10, 2013

Thought some of you might appreciate this. It's a series of photos showing what a week's worth of groceries looks like around the globe. Apparently my shopping habits most closely resemble the Canadians', or the Australians' minus the cereal pile. :)

It's from 2007 but it's still really fascinating:

But heads up, you will probably have an overwhelming urge to start feeding hungry children in Africa when you get down to Mali and Chad. Bit of a reality check, that. Good reminder that even when times seem tough here, we still need to be grateful for just how damn much we do have.

Happy Friday, Sparkfriends.

This was such an interesting article! Mine mostly resembles Turkey, minus the giant bag of bread. We buy mostly fruits and veggies, with a little bit of sods, beer and dairy products.

That's actually really cool. I rarely if ever click links in blogs, but that was really interesting.
