Yesterday during my BodyAttack class at the gym, there was this woman whose moves were so exaggerated, she reminded me of an SNL skit. It was like the workout version of Kristen Wiig's "Penelope" character who always has to one-up the person she's talking to. I had a good laugh.
There are other times that people have made me laugh (or roll my eyes?), too.
Sometimes at BodyStep, there is a woman who will use more risers than anyone else. The standard is to have 2 risers, but this woman will use 3 when the rest of us have 1 or 2. The instructors tell you when to take risers off, because of the moves we're about to make. Like when you make really fast moves up and down, we're always instructed to have no risers. Not this lady -- she uses 2. It's just... funny.
But my favorite of all favorites is the woman who, during BodyFlow, did the moves opposite and backwards to the rest of us. We're all facing foward, toward the instructor. Her back to us all of us. When we use our left leg, she uses her right. If we go forward, she goes backward. It was so bizarre (and distracting!).
