Stupid 5 lbs!

I finally got rid of the usual 5lb gain after a 1/2 marathon!

But I have another one next weekend. *sigh*

I hate experimenting too much, but this silly schedule I've made for myself means that I would be trying something new for a race.

Or I just keep doing what I normally do and deal with the post race weight gain that doesn't go away quickly.

But I'm determined to figure this out. I don't want to stop doing races, but if I gain all the weight back. Well. That is just silly!

    Is this unique, or do all / most racers gain weight after a race? I am hoping to become a runner and I need to know this before-hand so I am not surprised and disheartened after the fact.

    Wish I could help you. I keep gaining and losing the same 5lbs and it has nothing to do with races for me. Nope, instead it is the fact that each month I give up again when that stupid TOM visits!

    Don't stop your races. You inspire me to keep doing them!!!!
