So the 17 Day diet, Cycle 1 I stuck to pretty good. Got very...agitated...towards the end with the limited (BORING!!) food choices, but did manage to go from 161-162ish to 155.8.
The weekend was a bit of a train wreck, reminding me of why uber-restrictive diets are just not for me. However, I still think it was a good thing to do, because I find myself now questioning one SMALL "slip" these past few days instead of having a devil-may-care attitude about it and pushing myself overboard. I am also refraining from snacking on sugary things at night, be it ice cream or fruit or whatever. So a couple good things came away from it, and the scale read 155.6 this morning, so i'm holding with the loss.
The next two weeks will be sheer insanity. My BFF is going to Europe (punk!!!) and that means I will be on duty for early a.m. class (5:30) for 8 days in the next two weeks, as opposed to the normal 5, and will be teaching 4 classes solo that are usually co-taught. I also have 2 extra zumba events, my 4th graders music program, a fundraiser event for my SIL's high school, a graduation party, a confirmation party.....PLUS my normal 8-5:30 job.
I'm tired already! But the point is, I should be so freaking busy & ACTIVE that there will be no time for mindless snacking and I will be burning more calories than normal at the same time. Just gonna keep my head down and hope for the next two weeks to go quickly!
And I sense some mental health days coming in June! For real! I think my husband is planning to go to our friends a couple hours south to help with construction on their new house, and the plan is to take the girls so they can play with their pals (they used to be our neighbors and played together ALL THE TIME). That means 3 days of being home alone, which NEVER EVER happens! I swear I'm getting lightheaded just thinking of the possibilities! Take a couple extra fitness classes, paint the girls bedroom, go see a couple movies, get a massage, lay in bed all day! Ahhhhhhh.
Anywho, have a great weekend!
