I have a friend that Is always talking about weight loss and one day she said something that hurt my feelings but it was a wake up call for me .Now I 'M MOTIVATED TO GET THIS WEIGHT OFF. I HOPE TO GET A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THIS GROUP BECAUSE I REALLY NEED IT. emoticon

You're in the right place! I've found tons of support here - even just reading others' blogs can be quite motivating. Try to remember not to beat yourself up too much; we all have things we need to work on in life - so don't focus on your flaws.
Hang in there and welcome!

Welcome to SparkPeople. I have been where you are. I have tried multiple times to lose weight only to gain it back and more. I started with SparkPeople in January and have lost 25 pounds so far. I am way more active now than I ever was but sometimes old habits try to creep back in. We are starting a new BLC challenge in about 4 weeks. You might want to check it out. I did the last one for 12 weeks and the ladies in the group were the support that I was missing.

You can do it.

    emoticon to SparkPeople!

Motivation comes and goes we just need to learn to work through it and find what works for each of us individually. Sometimes it happens overnight, other times it takes much longer.... but be positive that either way you will get there!

Again welcome to your new healthy journey... emoticon

I have found that with Sparkpeople you get out of it what you put into it. When i first joined in 2010 I was not very active, had little participation on teams and rarely blogged. Now I am the co-leader of a team and I am active every day on Sparkpeople. It took me a year to start getting involved and since 2012 I have lost 21 pounds. I never thought it was possible. If you want, I did a video for my insurance company and it is on youtube. Feel free to check it out. If so, I hope it motivates you that if I can do it, anyone can.
