It's here, finally: my students are sitting for their AP exam.

It's funny - I never thought this class was contributing to any anxiety or stress. I never felt like a crazy person prepping or even overly concerned with their preparation. Today, however, feels like I accomplished something. Something huge. They came in early and had breakfast with me, we discussed topics and ideas for any possible writing response questions. I quoted speeches from "Miracle", "Rudy", and "Goonies" to keep then relaxed and excited - and then they left to test.

So far they've completed part one and I received a few thumbs up from the hallway (I'm not allowed near the exam or testers). And I feel relieved. Everything is finished and on a positive note to boot. I feel like I am finally looking forward to a weekend for positive reasons rather than with overwhelming dread and I'm starting to think it has to do with this test.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone!

You have a great weekend too - I am sure your students appreciated all of your efforts and the rewards for them and you will be there when the results come in.
