Sometimes I forget that "life" doesn't always require grand gestures. The fact that I cannot do a LOT shouldn't get in the way of the fact that I can do a LITTLE.
I may not be able to do ALL of the laundry in one day, but I can do 1 load.
I may not be able to carve enough time to organize ALL of my kitchen cabinets, but I can organize 1 cabinet.
I may not be able to clean the ENTIRE refrigerator, but I can clean 1 shelf.
I may not be able to manage to practice ALL of my piano pieces, but I can practice 1 piece.
I may be too stressed with paying attention to ALL of my nutrition, but I can focus on getting 5 freggies every day. [Funny how almost everything else falls in line if I do that!]
I may not be able to manage an hour of time at my favorite craft - crocheting - but I can manage three rows on a small project.
I may not be able to manage a long time at exercise, but I can manage 10 minutes. I have found this is about the time needed for my endorphins to kick in. That has proven very important to me as far as attitude is concerned.
I may not be able to plan a week of meals, but I can manage one day - sometimes just the next meal.
Small steps taken as I can lead to progress!
