So today I decided to have a goal during my walk. I wanted to get some errand done instead of just walking. So, I decided to trick myself into walking more steps by walking to Walmart to return my DVDs.

DH is on a trip so I knew he wouldn't be there to "rescue" me if I got tired! So, not knowing how far it was ....it didn't seem that far....
I set off. An hour later I returned home VERY tired! LOL I was sure wishing DH would had been here to rescue me! LOL

I doubt I can trick myself with that one again! It isn't that bad but I haven't been walking lately so it was a lot today. I came back after tracking over 7000 steps.

I stuck with my food plan and am working on drinking my water earlier in the day.

Tomorrow is my son's graduation so I am not sure how to squeeze in walking but I'll give it a shot.

    Fantastic job getting those steps in. I have walked to Wal Mart before but that was when it was only 4 blocks away from the house. LOL

    Diana --- how great!!!! Sometimes those little games work wonders. Knowing how much you walked before, I'm sure that the walk to Walmart will be nothing after a few more times.

    I have been trying to walk to church and back and fit my walks into my routine. It works as I have been getting over 10000 but for the days I travel like today. emoticon

    Good for you. I find I often have to get up very early to walk so that I can squeeze in those steps. Some days it isn't too bad, but others,hmmm, just don't want to get up!!! That was this morning!!! I got in 4,000 steps just for my normal day and walked this evening to get the rest in-it was too hot during the day.
Keep looking for ways, you can do this. Time is passing and you want to take control-we have something to work for-our health-we can beat the odds and keep from going full blown diabetic. Diet and exercise is the key for us, emoticon
