Exercise is good for mind and body

Since recommitting to Spark People and myself to stay on my weight loss program I have been happy to have made it through 2 weeks. Since I am doing South Beach that means I have gotten through Phase 1 and can move on to Phase 2. I will do it very slowly as I am doing well in P1. I have increased my exercise a lot. It gets really hot in the summer here in Lake Havasu so I have started going to the Aquatic Center for the aqua motion class, a deep water class done with a flotation belt. I also started doing an hour on the big Pilates reformer at my gym yesterday. I have a trainer I meet with every other week and she works with me to guide me through the various exercises. I was delighted to realize that the movements I do in the pool are much the same as I did on the reformer so I hope my core will strengthen twice as fast. The reformer looks daunting but is really a great workout and today my tummy muscles are telling me they got worked hard yesterday
The interesting thing is that all the deep breathing makes you head feel clearer. I'd love an exercise buddy but can't find one right now. I'll hang onto Spark People as my support system.
