After spending 5 hours last week cleaning my fridge inside from top to bottom, I had no desire to work on it anymore. However, this week, after a much needed break from the fridge, I was inspired to get it organized. I arranged everything we keep in our fridge on a regular basis. Then, I labeled that sucker to death! I ran out of clear label, so I started using pink! Our company will think I have lost my mind if they look in there, but really, it gives me peace of mind knowing it looks like that! Plus, when I plan our meals for the week, taking stock of the inventory in there will be a breeze. The kiddos can keep things tidy too and will be able to find whatever they want at any time. My next project to tackle is my kitchen pantry. The big work got done yesterday. Emptied the cupboard, purged expired or questionable items and scrubbed down all the shelves and drawers. Working on making a list of required containers for complete organization and storage. Once I purchase that list, it will make that task easier to complete. Having that set up will only motivate me to get the rest of the cupboards set up in a way that works for our family. So, getting the kitchen all set up properly is my major goal for May. I will accomplish that goal by spending 20 hours a week on it until I get it done. I need to approach the care of my home like a part time job. As a Stay At Home Mom of two preteen children, this should be a goal I can achieve. When I complete the kitchen, I will move on to the dining room and then the living room. I will have to set goals for each room depending on how well my 20 hour schedule is implemented. Focus on the kitchen for now.
