Just realizing that my last post was more than a week ago. I've been working to get a time-intensive project done on deadline while hitting other deadlines for other projects. I haven't been able to get to the gym, but I've been doing lots of walking at work. There have been days when I didn't complete tracking food and days when I didn't get in my 8 glasses of water. At the same time I was finishing up the SparkCoach plateau busting program.
I learned a lot from the program - and its probably helping me not be mad at myself for dropping the ball over the last week.
Even when I'm doing everything "right", there's a very predictable pattern to my weight loss which happens to include a 2 lb weight gain sometime around the 10th of each month. There's a host of other indicators that show me that I am getting fitter and making healthier choices.
I also learned that its ok to take a break on occasion and give maintaining a try before going back to weight loss mode. I've done a bit of that this week, but I do need to work harder at getting in the exercise.
Starting next week, it will be light enough in the morning early enough for me to take a morning walk or run - so I'm setting a new goal -
I will get up 45 minutes earlier to walk and/or run 3 weekday mornings per week, and get to the gym at lunchtime the other two weekdays.
