My Time Wasters

Thursday, May 09, 2013

One of my biggest time wasters is spending too much time on the computer. I work on my job sitting in front of a computer. I'm attending online classes and when I'm not on my computer taking classes I'm caught up in social networking. First, of all that's too much time sitting. Secondly, going to buy some of that time back by setting the amount of time I spend on facebook and stick to it no matter what. Then, I can use that time to exercise or prepare a healthy lunch for the next day. Yea, I think that's something worth implementing. Also, I'm going to practice standing up at my desk as much as possible, and walk around when possible. They're small changes but I think they're worth it.

emoticon It's all in priorities as some are obsessed with the news. We need to pull up, take our time back and gain control. It's about making time for the things that are important to us. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think there are a lot of us in that same boat. I am getting ready to go on a girls getaway and we will have no internet while there. I downloaded a book to my kindle called "unfriend yourself" that deals with taking yourself off so much media socialization. I thought it might be a good time to read it. good luck with the steps you are taking! I wish you well!!

I was in the same situation. I no longer go on facebook, I got Dragon naturally speaking 11, so I no longer have to type. I read the screen, and walk around as I dictate to the machine, my answer, it save a lot of time.
