how do you stop eating the food you crave?

I am really working on going from a mindset where I feel as though I LOVE certain foods to a mindset where I know that these are just cravings. But this is so hard to do. I have a theory: that busy hands are hands that aren't shoving food in your mouth! Anyways, all this promising to myself that I won't eat this or that is so hard. I just have to come to the realization that I have a completely unhealthy relationship with foods and that needs fixing. Kind of like when I gave my life to the Lord, I need to give it to healthy habits too. They will only make me better. But no one said this was going to be a piece of cake, LOL.
