emoticon My friend picked me up today and we looked at the minivans or SUV's whichever they call it. I found they make them higher now than they used to and the Toyota rental car I have is easier to get into and out of. Also I am sure it would be cheaper.

Someone mentioned a Toyota RAV4 but don't know what year. Maybe they make them higher now. My friend is going to take me around again probably tomorrow to see what we find.

I told him maybe I should just be a shut in. He said "I don't think so".
His father has shut himself in since his mother died about 2 years ago and just sits around and watches TV.

Pray I will find the right

I had physical therapy today but we went easy on it as he said I would be out walking looking at cars and I told him how I have pain at night after PT.

Irene, good luck on your search. The RAV4 is a good vehicle and I sat in one about 3 years ago. With my long legs I found the legroom a little tight. I had the same problem with the Honda CRV. If you go to you can get good unbiased reviews of any year vehicle.

I love my Chrysler Town and Country 'cause the driver's seat can adjust in height. I get it to where I can more or less slide in. God help you find the right one for all your needs. Shel

    Hi Irene,

I think that some of the crossovers are lower down. Sorry I don't have any names for you.

My sister has a Kia Rio and my mother loves it, because it is so easy to get in and out of. She has hip and knee issues and my sister has hip issues.

This also does not break the bank and she loves to drive it.

My car is lower and when my knee was acting up, it was interesting to say the least.

Good luck!

I know what you mean about having a car that you can easily get in and out of. People with good knees, hips, etc don't realize how hard it is to get into a car with a limb that won't bend enough!

Irene, maybe you could find a really, really good used SUV, if that one is easier for you to get in and out of. Your friend will be a huge help in helping you find and choose the 'just right for you' vehicle.

My friend said the same thing. We will take our time. Thanks for your nightly prayers.
As I mentioned I have been in two Suv's that you just slide into but they are older models. They seem to make them higher now.
God has just the right one for me.

My DH had a Mustang that I just couldn't get low enough to get into it so I bought a SUV for my car. They are much easier to get into and out of than a regular car and I imagine that when I am ready for another that it will be another SUV! Make sure that you get what you want, there are many models, styles and makes to choose from.

I agree with Sheila! Take your time and you will find just the right thing for you even if it's not a brand new SUV. PT is hard on the body!! When I went to PT for frozen shoulder, I used to take an advil before my session and sometimes that helped. Do what your doctor says, of course, but sometimes taking a pain pill beforehand will help you get in front of the pain. You are in my nightly prayers.
